We founded SAY CHEESE ourselves — the original in our region. With sites in Grenzach-Wyhlen and Lörrach, the brand is exclusively about fondue. The blends you find here are the ones we’ve been serving for years.

Because no one likes to stir or eat alone, our fondue catering runs from 20 guests, with starter and dessert included. To start, a sharing board. Then a sweet — let us surprise you.

With the fondue we serve our house spice mix, caraway, black pepper and of course fresh bread.

In catering, the fondue can be extended with multi-course Michelin-calibre starters from Restaurant Eckert — from beef tartare with truffle to salmon tataki and plant-based courses. Also as a midnight highlight after an apéro or flying buffet. We compose the menu on request.

In catering we combine the fondue with Michelin-calibre starters from Restaurant Eckert — from beef tartare with truffle to salmon tataki and plant-based courses. A favourite: the fondue as a midnight highlight after an apéro or flying buffet, when the evening finds its second wind.

These figures show where our catering starts. We cook for a buffet at €25 per person just as readily as for a gala dinner at €250. Ambition and scale decide — not the occasion.

We bring the cheese blend, the fondue set (caquelon — the fondue pot, burner, gel fuel, fondue forks), our house spice mix, caraway, black pepper and fresh bread. With staff on site on request.
02 Which fondue variants are there? +
Five recipes: Max Mustermann (classic with Baden kirsch), Specktakulär (bacon and onion), Etepetete (winter truffle), Hans Dampf (grilled chilli, garlic and tomato concentrate) and Garten Eden (the vegan fondue).
03 How many guests are possible? +
Fondue catering runs from 20 to 250 guests. Above that, we discuss case by case.
04 What’s included? +
A starter (sharing board) and a dessert are included. So is the cheese blend, the spice mix, the bread and the equipment.
05 Can you add Michelin-calibre starters? +
Yes. In catering we like to extend the fondue with multi-course starters from Restaurant Eckert. We put the menu together on request.
06 And vegan? +
Garten Eden is our vegan fondue. On request also as a Hans Dampf or Etepetete variant with truffle.
07 Which sides? +
New potatoes (grenaille), broccoli and Brussels sprouts instead of bread or alongside, a whole pear to slice at the table, and kirsch for dipping or drinking.
08 Does it work in summer too? +
All year round. In summer we like it as a midnight highlight after a multi-course menu, or with après-ski feel in the garden.
